About Forty48 Competition
Forty48 Competition is based out of New Holstein, Wisconsin and is conveniently located near the iconic Road America racing circuit. Founded in June 2022, Forty48 strives to craft a personalized racing experience for their drivers and customers. The team is built upon a foundation of 16 years of experience in the auto racing industry, paired with driving coaching and data analysis expertise.
Forty48 was created from a dream and a passion for motorsports. What started as a few friends and family building and driving their own racecars, quickly grew into a full arrive and drive prep shop with a vast array of customers.
On any given race weekend and most test days, the Forty48 team can be found at Road America supporting both modern and vintage racecars.
What Sets Forty48 Competition Apart?
Simply put, it’s the family-like friendly atmosphere which can be found within the Forty48 paddock that sets the team apart. The camaraderie between drivers and crew creates a truly unique experience.
Meet the Owners…
Ryan Szyjakowski
Ryan’s motorsports story began in 2009 with auto cross racing in a Subaru Impreza L. Since then, he has either raced or crewed within SCCA, IMSA, SRO, and WRL. Having built several SCCA Touring racecars from the ground up, Ryan has the technical and mechanical skills to handle any situation within auto racing. Ryan’s welcoming personality and quiet confidence make Forty48 a place you’ll want to call home.
Apart from the track, Ryan has two dogs which he loves and adores. Wesley and Archie can often be found at the race track cheering on the Forty48 team.
Stephan Desmoulin
Stephan is a master of computers and electronics. With a long history in motorsports data systems, Stephan is hands on at the track every weekend working with the drivers to improve their performance through video and data analysis.
Beyond Forty48, Stephan is an owner or partner in several small businesses.
Aaron Szyjakowski
Aaron is the ultimate helper. Alongside his brother Ryan, he gained his motorsports experience crewing for teams within SCCA, IMSA, SRO, and WRL. Always available to lend a helping hand, Aaron can be counted on for any adventure. Many of the artistic touches around Forty48 can be contributed to Aaron, be it in the design of a custom racecar wrap or the team’s social media presence.
When he’s not at the race track or the Forty48 shop, Aaron can be found working on housing construction projects. Additionally, Aaron is a connoisseur of a good pod cast. Just ask!
